Sportnetwork Teams Up With PRA

For the very first time the supporters of England’s top rugby union clubs are able to vote online for their own Player of the Season.

The Professional Rugby Players Association, which represents the professionals in the Zurich Premiership, has teamed up with Sportnetwork.net which has the biggest rugby union community on the web to launch the awards.

Votes are being cast for the Fans’ Player of the Year – the award will be presented to the player at the prestigious PRA Computacenter Rugby Players’ Awards Dinner 2005 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on May 11th. There will also be a prize for one lucky voter to meet their heroes at the dinner.

Ulundi Makhanya of the PRA says: “Sportnetwork has given us the opportunity to give the fans of all the Premiership clubs a chance to have their say. We already have atop award nominated by the players themselves so it will be fascinating to see if the people who pay their money to watch the game share the same opinion as the players.”
